(Being honest, I like this picture because amongst all my other exploding body parts, my ankle looks skinny hahaha)
I'm having fun making all the little girl stuff, sparkles and pink :] I've currently been working on giant paper flowers. Lots of cutting and gluing and folding! That is one thing on the list that's actually pretty much done. Next on the list is baby's closet. Little E (yes, she has a name!) has two closets in her room, one with no doors so we are going to be putting in shelves and cubbies. Then, just the nursery in general, so far there is a crib and couple wall decorations. I've been planning on making the bedding, I don't actually know how to sew hahaha so we'll see how that turns out!
The next, and biggest project, the kitchen. Our kitchen photographs well, but once you're standing in it you can see the terrible clumpy paint job that was done, and the insides were all different colors of browns and weird "wood." This project has been taking the most time, a lot of it mostly happens on Matt's weekend days! I started by taking off all of the cabinet doors and hardware, and the garage turned into a sanding workshop and boy did that turn into a mess. Luckily we were able to borrow a shop-vac and that worked wonderfully inside and out! The paint that was on peeled off like plastic, literally in big pieces I could peel it off. Then under that the original varnish was still there, so lots to sand through!

(These are not actually dirty, eek that's just the bad paint job and permanent marker the previous owner ran across the creases. yes seriously)
Once that was done we went to home depot for the correct paint, the employee suggested something else that worked just as well or better, swore it was a paint AND primer even after I asked multiple times. Turns out it was a really mean joke. After painting ALL of the cabinets, and applying three coats trying to solve this weird yellow spotting coming through, back to home depot we go where I am informed it was actually just a can of paint -__- no primer.... Ahg, I wanted to cry, and poor Matt put so many hours into sanding and painting and working overtime at work. It's been a whole month of literally working all day for 7 days a week, this was not the news he wanted to hear.
A better can of one coat hide paint and primer has been purchased! It seems to be looking great inside on the cabinets. This weekend after some light sanding, we'll do the painting and hopefully have it all done and installed!
The only other thing left on the list is refurbishing an old desk Matt had in Flagstaff, but I don't think I'll be sanding it haha. Pretty sure I won't be sanding anything else anytime soon! I want to use it as a change table for the baby's room. So That's about it on the list of the undone. Things are starting to come together but nothing has actually been finished haha. The goal is everything done by November before the shower!
Beckham loves other kids and babies and has learned the word sister, hopefully he puts those two together and is happy! Beck has lots of teeth and loves to use them to eat big kid food. He finally started walking on his own and pretty solid about three weeks ago. He was so hesitant for months and then finally just committed to it and was walking everywhere. He still loves a good party of people, playing catch and baseball, playing with Lewis and Jessica, he loves music and is always dancing, and has currently been having fun making the duck face for pictures!
As for baby sister's name, we've decided on Ezra Jane Loper. It's a name we both liked for a while for a girl, I know traditionally a boys name, but we like it! Once we learned it was a girl I still wasn't sure if that's actually the name we'd go with. It's so nerve wracking, I feel like picking a name you're almost picking a personality. It's cute and girly to me, with also a strong sweet attitude to it. Plus boys names for girls seems to be a thing in my family - Ed (Edna), Ande (Aundrea), Jess (Jessica). Jane doesn't have any significance, just something girly to balance it out and it sounded good haha!
Ande update: So far this pregnancy has been pretty different from the first. My body definitely seems more ready, I don't think I'll be going to 42 weeks this time around! My family and I have been jokingly planning for right after thanksgiving. You know, enjoy the meal, go black Friday shopping, that happens to get things moving and then Bam! Saturday I have a baby. My actual due date is December 19th so it would be a little early. I might eat my words later, but I really think little E is coming early. No new stretch marks so far, although I'm not sure I have any space left for new ones after the last pregnancy hahaha, I have veins that pop out weird, hopefully that goes away. Besides body pains, I was having some weird emotional issues more so than the normal pregnant hormones. I was all over the place with my emotions, I was often so extremely angry, or sad and crying, or feeling depressed and having not so good thoughts. I kept thinking man this can't be normal but then I wasn't sane enough to do something about it. I had one major meltdown and totally yelled and screamed at a guy in a parking lot who was mad at me for parking one spot ahead of him (literally the spot next to him). I remember being so uncontrollably angry I wanted to throw a chair through the window of the store he was in. That's when I sat down and was like ok, I have a problem. I asked for a blessing that evening and then made a dr's appointment. Turns out I had a pretty good vitamin D deficiency so I was prescribed some and have been feeling great since. I can definitely notice in a day when I haven't taken it yet! Hopefully this just means the baby is sucking all of my happy (vitamin D) and is going to come out so sweet and smiley.
